Although he specialises in lower limb surgery, he is trained to treat trauma of any extremity ranging from complex fractures of the wrist to fracture-dislocations of the ankle.
He is trained in the use of new treatment modalities including minimally invasive trauma surgery, external fixator frame application etc.
He is actively involved in the trauma service provided by the Royal Hampshire County Hospital (RHCH) and is on the teaching faculty of AO Education (an organisation specialising in trauma surgery), regularly giving lectures at their national conferences.
He also has a keen interest in osteoporotic fractures and is the RHCH representative for the National Hip Fracture Database.
